The ‘Nationale Commissie voor Internationale Samenwerking en Duurzame Ontwikkeling’ (National Committee for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development) involves people in The Netherlands in international cooperation and supports them with information, subsidies and advice. The millennium goals provide the point of reference for all these activities. In 2010 Todos has received subsidies from NCDO for the two educational programs in The Netherlands: the junior school program ‘De Tweede Ronde’ and program for vocational school students, Favela Money Maker.

Ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport

The Dutch ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports provides subsidies for various organisations, institutions and projects in The Netherlands, but also abroad. The objective of any appeal to a subsidy by the ministry must specifically be in line with their policy terrains in that year. For 2010 The Ministry of Health, Welfare en Sport has committed to providing Todos with a subsidy for the new sports program for Guatemalan Development in Guatemala City.

Brunotti

Brunotti is an international board sports and lifestyle brand, with collections in surfboards, clothing, footwear, bags, eyewear and stationary. Brunotti was founded in 1979 when the Italian Claudio Brunotti was surfing the waves in The Netherlands. Amongst other sponsor activities, Brunotti has designed unique Todos t-shirts for the summer of 2010, of which the design on the shirt is originally drawn by children in the favela’s of Fortaleza, Brazil. These t-shirts may be ordered through Brunotti or Todos. €2,50 of every shirt will go to Todos.

The international running shoe brand Brooks is one of Todos’ main sponsors for events such as the yearly Amsterdam - Zaandam run (Dam tot Dam Loop) held in September of each year. Besides running shoes, Brooks also has many other sportive accessories in the collection which may be used by Todos for various other events.

ARCA
ARCA is a local Brazilian non-profit organisation which focuses on informal ways of education for children, teenagers and young grown-ups between the ages 6 and 24 years in the slums (favela’s) living in high risk situations. Through sports and game activities ARCA aims to empower the children; training their personal competences, such as: leadership skills, teambuilding, competitiveness etc. Enhancing these skills ARCA not only hopes to create a better future for the children themselves, the children will also become aware of their own role in the community they grow up in; change lies in their own hands. At the moment ARCA is intensively involved in two main youth sport programs in the slum of Fortaleza in Brazil. ARCA is one of Todos’ main partner organisations abroad. Change the Game may be considered an advice organ on the theme of sports development, set up by Onno Raadsen, the founder of Todos and co-founder of ARCA in Brazil. Change the Game focuses in her advise role on ways of using sports and games as a means to accomplish developmental goals in developing countries. Higher Vocational School InHolland is a Dutch educational system with 33.500 students and 2.800 staff members, holding various institutions spread over 11 large cities in the urban agglomeration in the west of The Netherlands (the ‘Randstad’). The Higher Vocational School InHolland has made it a priority to strengthen it’s international position making higher vocational education in The Netherlands more spread and accepted across the globe. Specifically InHolland Diemen, School of Economics will be working in close collaboration with Todos in 2010 on various educational programs.

Roteb, one of Rotterdam’s largest and primary city cleaning services, is not only responsible for providing the citizens of Rotterdam a clean city, but also provides employment for individuals with a gap to the labour market. In 2010 Roteb will work in close collaboration with Todos on the educational program ‘De Tweede Ronde’ where junior school students are encouraged to be inventive with the rubbish and trash they encounter in and around their school, recycling it to make their own sports games.
