The foundation Todos, “Toekomst door Sport” (translated: A Future Through Sports) works according to the vision that all people are equal. This vision however is set against a backdrop of a world which is in actual fact divided by great inequalities. Todos strongly believes that changes can be made in these inequalities, starting with equal chances for all children across the globe! Todos uses the theme of sports and games to accomplish this goal. Sports helps to develop!

 

Todos believes that sports and games can bring about great changes in the lives of children and young grown-ups living and growing up in developing countries. Therefore, in all her work Todos continuously supports sports development projects in Southern developing countries. Besides supporting these projects however, Todos also aims to create more awareness in The Netherlands for sports development in general. Todos does this through education. Again, through sports and fun games, Todos aims to creates awareness amongst  Dutch children en young grown-ups about the differences between their lives here in The Netherlands and the lives of children growing up in developing countries.      

 

Thus, Todos holds a two-way mission:

 

First, creating awareness amongst Dutch children and young grown-ups (6-24 years) on the topic of sports in relation to international development. Todos aims to create this awareness through education, combined with sports and games.

 

Second, actively and continuously supporting sports development projects for children and young grown-ups living in developing countries.
