Tip 1: Think about your activity or event!

It is best to do something what fits you, what you are good at and what you like. The easiest way is to organize the activity or event in your own environment. Here you know everbody. This is the key to success.

 

Tip 2: Pick a good date!

Every day is a good day for action. National holidays such as Queen's Day, May 5, New Year or Valentine's Day are perfect. The European Championship and the world Cup brings a big crowd. Also think of National Sports Week, National Dance Week, the Day of Art, the National Outdoor Match Playing Day or the International Day of Children's Rights on November 20.

 

Tip 3: Ask for help!

Family, friends and colleagues can help you bring improve your action to be succesful. Keep in mind that the more helpers you have, the more you need to organize. Divide the tasks and put a person in charge.

 

Tip 4: Create promotional material!

Be creative. Make posters, flyers, stickers, t-shirts and a widget. Use the logo of Todos and promote your activity or event for Todos.

 

Tip 5: Stay within your budget!

See how much money you have and make a list of costs. Find sponsors for your promotion, rentals, supplies, materials and catering.

 

Tip 6: Get sponsorhip!

Find a win-win situation. Think of what you can offer in return for sponsorship money, discounts or contibutes in kind. REquest free printed material, rentals, catering or materials. Give something back: for example place their logo on posters, name in newspapers or free admission to your event.

 

Tip 7: Approach the press!

Send an announcement that you are going to organize an event for Todos to local and national newspapers and TV. If journalists do not have time to speak with you, think of sending a press release with pictures or movies.

 

Tip 8: Let us know!

Todos loves when you organize fundraising events. We want to share it. Send a short story, pictures and movies. Then we will put your activity or event on our website.

 

Tip 9: Invite everyone!

Send invitations, call, email and tweet. Put your activity on Hyves, Facebook and Linkedin. Let as many people know that you have organized an event for the benefit of Todos and everyone is welcome to sponsor.

 

Tip 10: Deposit your sponsorship money!

Send sponsorship money that you collected to Stichting Todos at ING 50.26.625. Include your name and event. Many thanks!
